Mingle at our Memory Cafe!
What is a Memory Café? In 1997, Dutch pyschiatrist Bere Miesen introduced the idea of a place were those living with dementia and their caregiers can mingle in a comfortable and fun environment — a Memory Café! This concept successfully made its way to the U.S. in 2008.
Who can attend a Memory Café? EVERYONE! Caregivers are invited to bring their loved one living with dementia to relax and grab a bite to eat together in a casual, supportive environment. The group is held in a private room, and full of conversation, fun and meaningful connections. And, of course, laughter and camaraderie are always on the menu!
The Memory Café is free to attend and no RSVP required. Snacks and coffee provided! First time attendees, please call the Erie Alzheimer's Association at 814-456-9200 to register.
